TTUHSC serves as a cornerstone academic partner for The Beacon, leading rural health innovation, behavioral health education, and medical workforce training across the region. Its programs are central to advancing care through telemedicine, specialty services, and hands-on clinical learning.

Located directly adjacent to The Beacon, UTPB plays a synergistic role in academic collaboration, student housing, and infrastructure access—supporting regional workforce development through its health and education programs.

A joint initiative of the Ector and Midland County Hospital Districts, PBBHC is a 200-bed mental health facility currently under construction within The Beacon, with direct access enabled by Beacon-funded infrastructure. It will become the new home of TTUHSC’s psychiatry program and a regional hub for behavioral health services.

As one of The Beacon’s core clinical partners, Midland Health brings operational leadership and patient care expertise, helping shape the delivery of expanded specialty and inpatient services across the development.

MCHS is a key healthcare provider contributing to The Beacon’s collaborative model for regional care, with a focus on pediatrics, women’s health, and supporting the broader system transformation in partnership with academic institutions.

in its healthcare, education, and infrastructure priorities while convening partners across sectors to advance

Through its governance of UTPB and broader higher education leadership,
