Kirk Edwards

 

An accomplished business leader and generous supporter of education and healthcare, Kirk Edwards is a proven leader in the Permian Basin and in Texas. Mr. Edwards is President and CEO of Latigo Petroleum, LLC, and Lead Manager for Las Colinas Energy Partners; Las Colinas Minerals, LP; MacLondon Energy, LP; Alexis Energy, LP; Noelle Land & Minerals LLC and the various mineral estates of the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research in Rochester, Minnesota. 

A strong advocate for his alma mater, the University of Texas System, Mr. Edwards gives to several UT institutions, including UT Permian Basin and UT Austin. A native Odessan, Edwards helped spearhead the creation of the Falcon Football program at UTPB through his volunteer service as a member of the UTPB Development Board. His contributions to the university were recognized with the naming of The D. Kirk Edwards Family Human Performance Center, which opened in 2020. The 63,717-square-foot facility houses the next generation of healthcare professionals, social workers, community health leaders, scientists, student-athletes, and thought-leaders at UTPB.

Mr. Edwards has received various distinguished awards throughout his lifetime. In 2008, he received the Excellence in Community Service award in Business by the Heritage of Odessa Foundation and was inducted into the Odessa Business Hall of Fame by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce in 2011. Mr. Edwards also serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Business Hall of Fame. In 2015, Mr. Edwards was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and received the Texas Leadership Award as Outstanding Local Texas Leader from the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Institute. He was also named to Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s Energy Committee in 2015 and to the University Lands Board In 2018 by the regents of the University of Texas System. Mr. Edwards has also been involved in a number of professional membership organizations. He has served as the Past Chairman of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, Past Chairman of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and Past Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Past President of the Permian Basin International Oil Show. 

Mr. Edwards received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1981. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
