Nancy Woodman

Development Officer

Nancy Woodman brings extensive leadership experience in philanthropy, healthcare fundraising, and community engagement to The Beacon, where she serves as Development Officer. Her work focuses on advancing strategic partnerships and philanthropic support that help further The Beacon’s mission to improve healthcare access and quality of life across the Permian Basin.

Prior to joining The Beacon, Woodman served for ten years as Executive Director of Midland Memorial Foundation, supporting the work and long-term growth of Midland Health. During her tenure, she helped lead fundraising efforts for numerous transformative initiatives, including endowments, a Level III NICU, relocation of the inpatient pharmacy, the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center, and major additions to the Midland Memorial Hospital campus.

Woodman also served as a consultant for the capital campaign supporting construction of Bynum School in Midland, helping establish new state-of-the-art facilities and endowment funding to support year-round educational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.

Before transitioning into philanthropy, Woodman built a successful career in business leadership, serving as National Sales Manager and Senior Vice President for Tanner Companies in North Carolina and New York City. In those roles, she led regional sales and marketing initiatives, collaborated with New York design teams, and directed national sales meetings.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and served as Board Chair from 2023 to 2025. Woodman remains deeply committed to supporting charitable and community initiatives throughout Midland and the Permian Basin. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
