As Chief Executive Officer, he leads The Beacon’s continued development as a regional destination for healthcare, education, research and community development serving the Permian Basin. He assumed the role on October 5, 2026.
Prior to joining The Beacon, Splitt served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Norman Regional Health System in Norman, Oklahoma, where he led Inspire Health, a $310 million transformation that included the new Porter Health Village campus, home to a new behavioral health hospital and Adult Wellness Center. He also brought a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center site to Norman Regional through an academic affiliation with OU Health, launched an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency with Oklahoma State University, and established a satellite campus of the OU Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, creating a local pipeline from classroom to bedside. Prior to Norman Regional, Splitt held senior operating roles with INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma’s largest nonprofit health system.
Throughout his career, Splitt has worked across organizations and communities to advance regional healthcare. He served eight years on the board of LifeCare Health Services, a 17-hospital collaborative, where he co-founded a multi-hospital insurance captive and helped launch Oklahoma’s first provider-led Medicare Advantage plan for rural hospitals. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to Oklahoma’s $1 billion Rural Health Transformation Program and is the only executive to have chaired the Norman, Moore and South Oklahoma City chambers of commerce.
Splitt is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was named a Most Admired CEO by The Journal Record in 2020. He is the author of The Healer Revolution (2026), which reached No. 1 in Amazon’s Hospital Administration category, and speaks nationally on healthcare leadership and the nursing profession.
